Training Seminar on the Management of Electrical Safety at Work.

Following ETCI's publication of its very successful and widely appraised publication, The Good Practice Guide on the Management of Electrical Safety at Work, we have received many requests from industry to conduct training courses in electrical safety.

In response to this, the ETCI Safety Committee has developed a training seminar based on the Good Practice Guide. This one-day seminar is aimed at employers, managers and their subordinates who carry specific responsibility for safety, health and welfare at work. The objective of the seminar is to prepare managers, who may not be technically competent in the electrical sense, to carry out their responsibilities as outlined in the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act to ensure the protection of all persons from the electrical hazard.

Seminars can be given on-site or, alternatively, in a nearby location arranged by ETCI. The maximum number for a seminar is 20, minimum 10. Contact ETCI for further details.

The "Procedural Guidelines for Working on Electrical Installations", which is an extract from the ETCI Good Practice Guide on the Management of Electrical Safety at Work, is intended to assist the electrical expert in drawing up a job description to safely carry out live or dead working on an electrical installation or electrical apparatus in accordance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application Regulations) 1993, S.I. 44, 1993 (Part VIII - Electricity).
