    <description> ETCI is holding seminars to familiarise Irish electrical industry with the new National Rules for Electrical Installations in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres, ET105:2011. With effect from 3rd January 2012 all electrical installations within potentially explosive atmospheres must be installed, maintained and tested in accordance with ET105:2011. These seminars will be held in Cork (16th November) and Dublin (30th November) </description>

    <title> Amendment No.1 to National Rules for Electrical Installations, ET101:2008 </title>

    <description> This first Amendment to the Fourth Edition contains changes that have been necessary for a number of reasons, e.g. changes to the certification system under CER, new requirements for micro-generators and the connection of mobile generators, recent CENELEC decisions, changes in the original requirements for switches and socket-outlets introduced by the Department of Environment, Community and Local Government, and the need to revise the Rules in order to take into account subsequent developments in the area of electrical safety. This Amendment also includes necessary corrigenda and errata. The implementation date for the new Amendment is 3rd January 2012. Copies of the Amendment are available from ETCI Offices or can be purchased online. </description>

    <description> The implementation date for the National Rules for Electrical Installations in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres, Third Edition (ET105:2011) is 3rd January 2012. Please note that the Second Edition to these Rules, ET105:2001, will be withdrawn on this date. ET202 (Guide to the Selection of Electrical Apparatus for Use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres) and ET209 (A Recommended Maintenance &amp; Inspection Routine for Electrical Installations in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres) will also be withdrawn on this date. ETCI plan to hold seminars on the new ET105 during Q4/2011 on the lead-up to the implementation date. Details on these seminars will be issued later. </description>
