Education
and Training in Electrotechnology Educational institutions provide courses,
as indicated, leading to qualifications in electrotechnology at craft, technician,
graduate professional and postgraduate levels. The following educational
institutions provide courses, as indicated, leading to qualifications in electrotechnology
at craft, technician, graduate professional and postgraduate levels. Apprenticeship
in electrotechnology culminates in the National Craft Certificate. This Apprenticeship
Training is in 7 phases: - Phases 2, 4 and 6: Apprentices attend
a FAS Centre for Phase 2 followed by attendance at an Institute of Technology
(see below) for Phases 4 and 6.
- Phases 1, 3, 5 and 7 will be spent
in industry or other appropriate employment being trained and gaining relevant
work experience of its different aspects under the guidance of competent craftspersons.
